From the athlete’s passion for the region that he knew, felt and experienced, the inspiration came to create and select together this superior category lot, ananalogy with the champion’s achievements.

Obikelu Bio Olive Oil comes together with the history and tradition of a culture rooted in demarcated region of the Douro, originating from centuries-old olive groves, with agricultural pratices that preserve nature – organic prodution. The olive groves present in the characteristic terraces of this region require manual harvesting. From the athete’s passion for the region as well as his concern for the environment came the inspiration to create and select together this biological lot that demontrates all the expression of this nature in its purest sense.

ORIGIN
From old olive trees on the slopes of the Douro River, where the varieties of Cobrançosa and Verdeal predominate. A careful selection and manual harvesting at different stages of maturation allows the prodution of a green and very balanced fruity oil.

FábricaDouro Organic virgin extra olive oil
ORIGIN
The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Ouro da Fábrica Organic is born between Douro and Torto valleys, from olive groves cultivated in organic farming mode. The very peculiar microclimate of the region, as well as the varieties adapted to the Douro’s soils allow to obtain authentic oils with unique organoleptic characteristics.

EXTRACTION
After receiving selected olives in the FábricaDouro mill, the transformation process happens just a few hours later.
This process starts with the grinding, following the beat, separation and centrifugation.
Low extraction temperatures and with all these processes properly controlled, we obtain our oil preserving all its unique aromas and flavors. Finally, a decantation period (about 2 to 3 months) takes place in perfect storage conditions until filling.
